This year I got the opportunity to do the makeup for the models on the Discovered Fashion Catwalk at The Clothes Show Live!
This was an amazing opportunity and I got to work with some amazing models, including Anita Kaushik, who starred in cycle 8 of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model
The look for the fashion show was a bold, graphic eye liner which looked great when the models were walking down the catwalk!
Behind the scenes of the fashion show was so exciting, with different celebrities in and out throughout the day – I even got the opportunity to do makeup touch ups for star of Made in Chelsea, Binky, before she went on stage to talk about her new range with “In the Style”.
The day started at 8am for makeup artists, where we had to get the models ready for their first show. This was fast paced to ensure the models also had time to have their hair done and were dressed in time for the first show of the day! Once the models were on the catwalk, we then waited backstage for the modes where we were on hand to touch up makeup whilst they were getting ready for their next outfit.
This was the last ever year of The Clothes Show live at the NEC, and it will be returning next year on the 7-9th July in Liverpool under the name, The British Style Collective – tickets are on sale now at a discounted price of £20 for a limited time.
I’m so glad I got to experience working at the last ever Clothes Show! And hope I will get the opportunity to work with them again in Liverpool next year!
